Ed Jimenez is the Retail & Hospitality lead for Cisco’s Business Transformation Team, where he helps companies use digital technologies to improve performance, transform operational models, and become a true omnichannel business.

Previously, Ed directed Cisco’s industry solutions team and worked as a senior consultant, helping Cisco’s retail customers understand how disruptive technologies impact customer experience. Prior to joining Cisco, he was the lead research analyst for Gartner’s Retail & Consumer Products Practice. He also spent a number of years in the retail and manufacturing industries with positions in technology transformation and operations.

“This is an incredibly exciting time to be involved with the retail industry,” Ed says. “Retail is now a leader in its adoption of innovative technologies – some of the most interesting, unusual new capabilities are now being used to help stores sell. I am delighted to be heading up Cisco’s work and thinking in this area.”

Ed has published a number of papers on eCommerce and retail customer experience technology and was a regular host for the NBC Morning News Technology Report.

He earned his M.B.A. from the University of Illinois.
